While a school teacher, I began helping educators to save money in tax deferred 403b annuity accounts. After seeing my clients prosper, I left teaching and formed my own financial advising company in San Francisco where I continued to help local business owners and professionals with their retirement planning, risk management and personal insurances.
Following the death of my business partner, I joined AFLAC as a District Manager in San Francisco
where I managed, coordinated and ran employee meetings for AFLAC’s largest clients: The City and County of San Francisco and the San Francisco Unified School District.
Following five years with AFLAC, I joined the San Francisco office of AAA as coordinator of their five Life and Annuity offices in San Francisco.
After completing my time at AAA, my wife and our two dogs, Waldo and Lil’Bit, moved to Indio, CA.
Since we had been visiting the Coachella Valley for many years and having a strong interest in USTA tennis and the BNP Tennis Tournament, it was the logical place to settle in Southern California, although our SF Giants/49er friends in the Bay Area have not forgiven us.
We make many trips to the San Francisco Bay Area to see our three children and five grandchildren.
For the past seven years, I have continued to advise pre-retirees and retirees on how to best safeguard their hard-earned money including personal and IRA funds.
With clients living longer, good planning is necessary to include using Safe Contractually Guaranteed Single Premium Immediate (SPIA), Multi Year Guaranteed Annuities (MYGA) and Fixed Index Annuities with a Guaranteed Lifetime Income option.
