I am a 1986 graduate of the University of Alaska-Fairbanks with a degree in Civil Engineering. Upon graduation, I was commissioned as a lieutenant in the United States Army. After seven years of active service, I left the Army and began a career with Principal Financial Group in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 1998 I started my own brokerage company, Wallace Insurance Services, Inc. (WIS), to focus my attention on my client’s needs, not my employer’s products.
Twenty-five years in the financial services industry has taught me to listen to my clients. My job is to help you define your goals and objectives then find the solutions that will best fit your needs. We focus on solutions and long-term relationships, not carriers and the latest product.
I am known by my friends and clients for honest, direct communication. My motto is “Straight answers to your insurance and benefit questions.” My recommendations are made based on my client’s needs, not the “product of the day”. I am completely open and transparent about fees and commissions; it’s your money, you should know where it is going.
I recently returned to my hometown of Fairbanks to help my parents age with dignity and to enjoy the experiences of living life in Alaska. I enjoy traveling with and visiting friends and family, officiating hockey, skiing, and hunting and walking with my dog, Tek.
