As an individual and a financial professional, Joshua has seen the effects the 2008 financial crisis has had on people and families across our country. This experience has further fueled his goal of making a positive impact in his community and the people he meets.
Joshua was raised in South Florida and studied at the Theological College in Chicago. Upon returning to Florida, he found his “purpose” serving his community as a Funeral Director for 20 years. “It was a career where I knew I was making a positive impact in people’s lives every day, at a time when they were in need.
Although that career was one Joshua took a great deal of pride in, the time came to make a change. In 2001 he started his career in the financial field by joining the prestigious firm of Bienenfeld, Lasek & Star.
“It was difficult at first, I am a born counselor. My purpose is to help people”. After some time Joshua found that he was able to parlay his understanding of families, their needs, concerns, and the things that matter most in life to people into his financial practice. “It is not about the money, and what it can buy you. It is about the Freedom, and the Peace of Mind it can bring to you.”
In 2012 Joshua opened his firm, Safe Secure Financial. Over the years, he has gained a comprehensive knowledge of strategies for Retirement Income Planning, Wealth Optimization & Preservation. Joshua has built his practice with a team of companies and experts such as J.D. Mellberg Financial, Wealth Beyond Wall Street, Secure Investment Management, as well as others. He has used his knowledge to help retirees and pre-retirees protect their money from the devastating effects of markets downturns, plan for lifetime income, while minimizing taxes. He has appeared on NBC Nightly News and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal as well as other publications regarding his opinion on financial matters. Joshua has recently written a book (released in June 2018) titled “Wealth Compounded”. “Wealth Compounded” has already reached the best seller list on Amazon.com.
Joshua enjoys learning what’s important to his clients and, forging relationships with them that last for years to come. As a result, his clients going through the Safe & Secure educational process have the resources so that they will be able do the things they want, and to do them with peace of mind. Joshua is blessed to be married to his lovely wife, Lori Beth of 38 years. They have three fantastic sons, three wonderful Daughter in laws and two grandchildren that they adore.
